for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
New Jersey’s 1st Facility Offering Inspire
Dr. Tomovic is the first doctor in New Jersey approved to perform the Inspire treatment.

Drastically Improve Your Sleep Life
Inspire therapy is clinically proven to reduce apnea events. This breakthrough therapy system allows you to sleep free of the mask, hose, and noise that accompany CPAP machines. Inspire patients experience a higher level of satisfaction and therapy adherence than patients using traditional CPAP therapy.
How Inspire Is Different
The system is placed under the skin during a simple procedure, typically in an outpatient setting. Patients can generally continue their regular diet and most daily activities immediately after the procedure.
Inspire therapy works hard while you sleep. The small implanted device keeps track of each breath you take and delivers mild electric stimulation to the nerve that controls tongue and airway movement. This stimulation ensures that your airway stays open while you sleep.
The Inspire device is operated with a sleep remote, allowing you to turn the system on as you get ready for sleep and off as you wake the following morning. You can also use the remote to customize the stimulation levels as needed.

Is Inspire Therapy Right for You?
You may be a candidate for Inspire therapy if you:
- Have Moderate to Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea
- Are Unable to Tolerate or Benefit from CPAP
- Are Not Significantly Overweight
- Are Over the Age of 22
The first step is to schedule a consultation with one of our Inspire Therapy-trained physicians to evaluate your overall health status and perform an examination of your airway anatomy to determine if Inspire therapy might be a suitable alternative for you.
What to Expect with Inspire Therapy
The Inspire therapy system is implanted during a quick outpatient procedure. While the patient is under general anesthesia, the unit is inserted through three small incisions in the chest and neck. Patients can return to non-strenuous daily activities immediately following their procedure. There may be mild swelling and discomfort the first few days following the procedure. Most patients have fully recovered within two weeks.
When the unit is turned on, patients generally experience a mild tingle in the area of the tongue. This sensation is not typically painful and can be adjusted for personal comfort preferences.

“Obstructive sleep apnea is a serious condition with many potential consequences. It is therefore important to address and treat. Unfortunately, some patients may not tolerate CPAP. We are now excited to be able to provide the right patient with the potential for substantial improvement using the Inspire Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator. It dramatically reduces the number of apneas and is easier to tolerate and use then the conventional machine.”
